Meet Kennedy

As An Author

I’ve always been a writer. Ever since I was five years old, I could write a story with a beginning, middle and end. I once took a lower grade from a high school assignment because I wrote 3000 words when the limit was 500.

If only someone told me back then that I’d be launching a career as an author—I’d have believed in myself a whole lot more than I have.

Self doubt is a rite of passage as a debut author. Well, as a human really. But I want everyone out there to know that it doesn’t have to define you. You can tell that annoying voice to shut the hell up and go and do the damn thing anyway.

I did. And look at me now.

As An Individual

I’m a proud Māori, born in New Zealand and living in Queensland, Australia. I am madly in love with my fiancé Davan, and adore our cat, Lucy.

One of the things I’m most proud of is being neurodivergent. Being diagnosed with BPD and ADHD certainly makes for an interesting, wild life—and boy, does it have its challenges, too.

But I could never regret who I’ve grown to become—the valleys I’ve clawed out of and the mountains I went on to climb. We are often more capable as humans than we believe and, anyone who knows my full, unfiltered story understands this well.

If I can, you certainly can too.
